hey y'all. been checking this out and it rather revealing. if the cost is not steep, i am DEFINITELY enrolling in this.

i still have plenty family to put in front of the opportunity, but as they point out in the manual, "no one cares about your opportunity."  what they do care about is avoiding pain. so the course is all about avoiding becoming a pain, then figuring out the "pains" and then how to convert the interest to avoid pain into using/owning STE.

i got it last night and have already had break throughs in my other biz efforts, no joke.

 Hey Anna.

Steve & Mike here...

Just wanted to let you know we put together a quick little
PDF that you can pass along to your team that outlines what
exactly the BrokerFormula system is about and why getting
on the VIP List might be the most important thing they can
do for their business this year!

We figured it would be easier for you to just pass this PDF
along that explains everything rather than try to convey all
the details yourself.

(What can we say? We're here for you :o) )

So go ahead and just forward this message with the attachment
to your team...we promise they'll thank you for it later!

Of course they can always just go to www.brokerformula.com
if they want to, but the PDF has a couple of extras in it!

Talk soon,
Steve & Mike

PS: Have you become a fan on our Facebook page yet?
If not, you'll want to do so here as we're going to post a
couple of training videos there that we're not releasing on
the blog!  Stay tuned...

Citi Debit Card, Cyber Monday & other goodies

It has been too long since my last post!

First let me say: HELLO! I hope you are enjoying being an STE owner/shopper. I know I am.

Since my last post about organic laundry systems, I had the opportunity to test out Ecos. It is FABULOUS. I tried the magnolia scent and found it a bit insistent, so I ordered the Lemongrass instead; let's just say, my next order will be magnolia fresh. The Mrs. Meyer's Geranium does not agree with my own natural scent and the various oils I use, so there is something to consider. Unlike mass-produced, laundry soaps, the organic and essential oils based versions WILL interact with your own smell and the various skin products you use. It is as if you are making a special perfume. I have to say, that BioKleen does NOT do that, but it can be a bit harsh on your clothes: less is more!  if you are able to line dry, then BioKleen is even more fantastic.

Right now, Drugstore.com has a no shipping sale on, so if you are wanting your Mrs. Meyer's, skadadle on over there and make your purchase.

Next, I have to say, in less than 45 days, I "made" my investment back. I earned $270 in cash on my Citi Debit card, and saved $200 in some much needed purchases! I held on to the amount to use as emergency cash. I am not going to say that you can't go wrong with this: you can, it's called procrastination--but if you are willing to commit to obtaining two new brokers to make your own team, then you can very quickly earn your investment back.

There is a caveat: you must make sure you have made your $100 worth of purchases on the Shop to Earth side. But that will be easy, because you have me to guide you! I actually a vast array of the household cleaners, organic skincare products, organic dried goods and baking supplies, and own some organic bedding and clothing--I can tell you the difference, and help you plan out making the shift from a mostly petroleum based life style to a plant based one.

Now on to Cyber Monday!

I HATE shopping the day after Thanksgiving. It is not only highly stressful, but quite irrational. The amount of garbage generated from that day alone is INCREDIBLE. The marketing folks figured out that there were a lot of folks like me who were willing to wait for the remainders of the sale, mostly because we don't shop by season or care what's in style: we care about what will last, what will facilitate our lives, what will connect us tot he world. And that of course mens that we shop online. This phenomena has been dubbed CYBER MONDAY. That ALMOST made me not want to shop (I dislike being found out and put on front street like that), but at the last hours, I gathered up my strength, opened the STE cupon code PDF, and went hunting.

Guess what I found?

For only $49!!! That's right, I save $300 on my new Droid Eris. I am a wee panicked about having a monthly cell bill again (I really loved paying for what I needed as I needed it), but as an entrepeneur, I need a true tool that can put my business at my finger tips.  My plan is so-so, but did I mention that I also did not have start-up fees? With the savings I was okay to pre-pay my device insurance, only $49/12 months (typically a $5/mo plan is offered). And ths customer service from AccessoryGeeks has been excellent. Everything was clearly written and arrived sooner than I expected it. Oh yeah, I did not pay for shipping either. Don't forget the cash back.

I REALLY saved. And then, I get to write it off as a business expense.

wootwoot!

You can expect similar, but not maybe as deep, discounts in the next week. Get up to speed with the sales by going to http://www.shoptoearn.net/shiftcontrol and clicking on the green "Shopping Promotions" tab. Then search to find the store by following links.Enter your code at check out,and voilà!

So if you are still hesitating, breathe, and give me a ring!

It's hard switching soaps!

I had no idea just how difficult this transition would be. For YEARS I had used Biokleen laundry products, mostly because they have very little additive of any sort in them. But my clothes looked really worn out. They were clean and fresh, but I am a high performance clothes wearer: I dance and I walk at least 3 miles each day as exercise, then I walk to as many places as I possibly can.  My clothes, even my cute everyday clothes get a workout, and they were starting to smell like it...

I tried extra laundry boosting through Biokleen's Oxygen Bleach. That kinda worked but then the colorfast clothes, well... Then I tried white vinegar, which did work, but it was very time consuming. What worked but needed a lot of tweaking before I found the secret technique was Dr. Bronner's  Peppermint Soap. Most folks would use their Cal-Suds, but the power of peppermint cannot be beat for removing stains of all sorts. From baby poo to grass stains, I've used Dr. Bronners for years to keep my clothes stain free. I highly recommend this soap for spot cleaning and hand washing. And now it's organic! But if you put it in a top-loading machine and you use too much, you will be disappointed at the froth left on your clothes after the rinse cycle.

So in my last post I mentioned that I was buying Mrs. Meyer's on sale. I had begun to use the all purpose cleaner on my clothes--yes I will try and save that dollar--and enjoyed the results but I was back to super-washed out clothes. Now, I was using the All-Purpose Lavender cleaner, but I bought Geranium laundry soap and Lavender Oxygen Bleach. Hmmmm. If you are going Mrs. Meyers, try and stick within the same scent! Next, it is powerful stuff! A little goes a long way to freshening up your wash. If you are asthmatic or struggle with perfumes, I am going to have to recommend you stick to with Biokleen; because Mrs. Meyer's is a concentrated product meant to be diluted, you will suffer when you open the cap. Finally, it is high performing. My old workout clothes smell marvelous and not in that covered up way either.

All three of these brands are outstanding, each with its own special approach to "green clean."   I'm just a super dirty girl;->

Next time, I'll let you in on a great secret product for cleaning your entire house.

Peppermint Liquid Soap - 1 Gallon

You can find Biokleen and Dr. Bronner's in the Green Market of my store at http://www.shoptoearth.net/shiftcontrol.

Making my first purchases

I was out yesterday with my son and his teacher discussing how things are going for him in his new virtual charter school.  Because the school is virtual, I thought I'd take along the laptop so that we could log in to the materials and the teacher could show me important links, etc., that I have been missing.  About 20 minutes in, my laptop shut off.  My battery was dead. I'd been having problems with my battery, but this was ridiculous. 20 minutes out of a 4 hour battery that is not even 3 yrs old? So I thought I would just run to the MacMall after another meeting later in the day and buy one.

Well, I forgot to do that.  And boy am I happy I did!

It was 7 pm when I remembered I needed to get a battery, so I went into my store and looked on the Shot To Earn Side, sure enough, there were over 4 vendors who sell laptop batteries, including Apple itself! Their price was $125, but all the reviews of their batteries were horrendous. And I should know, this is my SECOND battery from them. I found a vendor who had a battery for a 15inch MacBook Pro for $85! And they were having a sale!  And I will get 5% back! And they were a tax free store!! Even with shipping, I saved $40!

I took a company shopping tutorial last night, too. Oh my goodness. I am cannot believe what I just got myself into. It is too amazing to talk about, but here's the post-lesson story:
After the webinar was over, I promptly went back to Drugstore.com via my web page and began to look for my favorite kitchen cleaner, Mrs. Meyers.  Now, I HIGHLY recommend this product.  It smells great, does not contain synthetic perfumes and cleans like old fashion pine sol, minus the extra chemicals. It is long lasting, 1 bottle of all-purpose cleaner dilutes really well and can be used for everything (if you don't mind you clothes fading out, not so great on windows). It can be pricey in the stores.  Right now Drugstore.com has it on a 25% sale.

Items that I have not tried because I could bring myself to spend that much money on some cleaning supplies, I eagerly purchased because I will get 10% back on my purchases as an Shop To Earth broker, the store was giving a 25% instant discount AND since I signed up as customer, I get $2 cash back inside the store! The only thing I did not qualify for was the free shipping and that had to do with the weight of what I was purchasing. Even then, I only spent $6 on shipping via UPS.  $6 shipping for: laundry detergent, 2 bottles of dish liquid, toilet bowl cleanser, and a bottle of all purpose cleaner. I forgot to get my Method cleaners because I was so overcome with the savings. All of that was $45. In a major retailer, that would have been close to $60.

Lavender is my favorite scent. Geranium is nice, too. Basil is an interesting new scent, brisk! I LOVE Baby Blossom surface wipes (they were not on sale).

SO, even if you do not become a Shop To Earth broker, sign up as my preferred customer so you can catch the sales!

Getting my learn on

Went to a trianing tonight and WOOOOO wish I could make the rest tomorrow. So I am going to head up to Seattle for it in a week! Yes, training is essential to do this right. By showing a simple game of telephone, they really got the message home that learning with a master teacher works better than hearing it from her 5th generation disciple, lol!  I should know that first hand; as a professor I am often stunned into silence at the level of ignorance perpetrated against a student simply because their former teacher did not have them read a primary text themselves.

So what's the main thing I walked away with? You go here and click on the "love" button on the lower left-hand side to find out...

The right products for the right time

This morning I got up and decided to look through the product listings on Shop to Earth.  I was very happy. Some products that I had come to love but could no longer find due to streamlined stocking and inventory at major health food stores were quite abundant on the site!  In the next week, I will put together recommendations for the best way to accomplish your shopping for some of these products which literally helped me save my own life.

Keeping your house clean the green way, buying organic bulk grains, filtering your water at home are all simple steps that you can take to begin to optimize your health and well being. I know it for fact. And just wait until you were a bamboo shirt and a pair of organic hemp pants!

Remember to smile today; so much wonderful happens inside and out when you do that.

Why I joined

A list:
  • From the first time Angela mentioned it, I knew that I liked the business
  • I have been in the "market" for a work from home job that does not involve a lot of sweat (i am a dancer, sometimes I want to just be clean)
  • My current job makes my hip, lower back and stomach hurt (not the dancing part, the professing part)
  • I know almost all the products and they are HIGH quality
  • Working with Angela will be exciting and amusing
  • I can fuse my remarkable health journey and the expertise it gave me with Shift Control
  • I had a great business name and was looking for something to attach to it
  • I want to help my family get healthy without it being a pain in their ass
  • I would love to have a network of awesome moms doing something together other than griping about being moms
  • I just want to take it higher! Get us all lifted and free.

(I may edit this, or change it. But right now, this feels real)

Shifting Control

I am very excited to have found a "biz opp" that actually resonates with how I seek to live my life. Green, aware, in motion with Spirit, and Ancient to the Future. Shop to Earn/Earth almost completely aligns with what I am about.  I am not going to say totally, because let's be clear, the best way to help the Earth resurrect Itself is to drastically reduce our consumption, which is something I have done. Joining Shop To Earth is still being a consumer, but I will work diligently with my new partners and clients to overcome our fear of over-investment or consumption to get the larget size, the best product the least number of times.

So there is a tension here. One to help raise funds for the earth and another to make some serious money using products that I really believe in and trust. Let's see if we can find the synergy here.
